JOHN NEWTON - Printed in 1795 - Burlington (NJ?)- Printed by Isaac Neale - This is an incredible piece of religious history in this life changing treatise written by John Newton - the most famous of his works inspired the life transforming hymn "AMAZING GRACE" - his life was touched by the presence of God. One can only imagine the many hands that held this book in reverence since its printing in 1795, and how these incredible words affected their lives.

The book is complete - no printed pages are missing (last two unprinted end pages missing)/varying levels of foxing throughout/staining from age/4 pages have small chips that do not affect print/a few dog eared or folded pages;it is worn from use and perhaps lack of care - as would we all if we were made in 1795!! But the wear over time does not detract from the opportunity to make this piece of history a part of one's collection. It is to be relished!!!

Duncan - twenty third edition - the "six parts" being "The Believer's Espousals; Jointure; Riddle; Lodging; Soliloquy; and Principles" concerning "creation and redemption; law and gospel; justification and sanctification; faith and sense; heaven and earth". Great God centered thoughts from a great spiritual leader - truly a rare addition to one's collection - a good bit of wear and some visible water damage on the first few pages; the pages are browned with age, yet all pages are fully legible, and its value as a document does not wane!!!
